Motivation – Self Belief

Whether you think you can or can’t, you are right.

Believe it or not, this all comes down to self belief. When you believe you can do something:

  • you will find a way to make it happen
  • you will feel motivated to take action and won’t be discouraged by mistakes or setbacks and instead see them as part of the process and
  • when talking to others you will talk with conviction and positive vibes.


So how do you develop self belief?

  1. Set big yet realistic goals – remember to break down the goals into smaller goals.
  2. Acknowledge your achievements – work on identifying and acknowledging your results and strengths. Be proud of yourself!
  3. Stop comparing yourself to others – this is a losing battle. The only person you should be comparing yourself to is the person you were yesterday, last week, last year and try to be better than that.
  4. Grow – Take on new challenges, try something new and continually aim to better yourself.
